Beautiful and rural 6-person holiday farm near Giethoorn

This beautifully rural six-person holiday home is located in the charming village of Zuidveen, a short distance from picturesque Giethoorn. You rent the front house of a spacious characteristic farmhouse, surrounded by peace, space and nature. Lovers of boating, canoeing, sailing, cycling and walking can enjoy themselves to the full here. Right behind the garden are the extensive nature reserves National Park Weerribben Wieden and De Auken, where you can stroll endlessly through marsh forests, reed beds and along winding waterways. In the summer months, it is possible to climb the Steenwijker Tower, one of the highest church towers in the Netherlands, which can even be seen from the living room. The striking Jugendstil Villa Rams Woerthe with its Hildo Krop Museum in Steenwijk is also well worth a visit. Within ten minutes you are in Giethoorn, known for its picturesque canals, wooden bridges, cosy shops, museums, atmospheric restaurants and waterside terraces. A boat trip on the nearby De Beulaeker lake is highly recommended. Zuidveen itself is a quiet and friendly village with rural charm and makes an excellent base for varied day trips in the region. For a pleasant terrace or an afternoon of shopping, you can go to Meppel with its cosy town centre, attractive canals and nice boutiques, Heerenveen with its varied range of shops and restaurants, or Zwolle, a historic Hanseatic city with a rich culture, good museums and many cosy eateries. In short, this location offers the perfect combination of tranquillity, nature, culture and lively excursion possibilities.

The spacious and attractively furnished living room has a cosy seating area with a comfortable sofa, two armchairs, a television, a bookcase with various books and a cosy fireplace. Adjacent is a dining area where you can enjoy your meals. The open kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, a four-burner induction hob, a fridge, a Siemens oven with microwave function, a filter coffee maker and a kettle. On the ground floor is a spacious bathroom that is largely adapted for disabled people and features a spacious walk-in shower with shower seat, a vanity unit and a toilet with brackets. Immediately adjacent to the bathroom is a spacious bedroom with two comfortable single Auping beds and ample wardrobe space. A small freezer and separate toilet is located in the hall near the entrance. There are three bedrooms on the first floor: a large bedroom with two single beds connected to a smaller bedroom with a single bed, and a separate bedroom with another single bed. Both bedrooms have space to add a cot if necessary. There is also a second bathroom on this floor, equipped with a shower, sink and toilet. Outside you will find a green, well-tended garden where there is always something blooming. At the back of the farmhouse, you have a beautiful view over the fields towards Giethoorn. Here, there is a wild flower garden where you (and your pet) can enjoy the beautiful greenery. At the front, there is a private terrace with garden furniture and a shed with charging facilities for electric bikes. Parking is easy on the property.
