Eco-Chalet for four Persons in natural environment

In the middle of the Weerribben nature park and yet a comfortable way to experience the camping feeling. The covered veranda allows you to always enjoy the view of the water. As a guest of Recreatiepark De Kluft, you can enjoy swimming, fishing or canoeing from the terrace. Are you going on holiday with the sloop? You can easily moor a sloop up to 6m at the lodges. The lodges are beautifully situated on the water on the peninsula where there is also a nice beach. Welcome to Ossenzijl!

These four-person lodges are fully furnished and include a living room with television as standard. An equipped kitchen with filter coffee maker, refrigerator and dishwasher. There is a bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with a bunk bed. The bed linen is included in the rental price. The bathroom consists of a sink, shower and toilet. Enjoy the wonderful weather under the covered veranda and start a canoe trip from your own terrace or go swimming or fishing.

The facilities are closed from November untill March.
The vacation park is car-free. It is only possible to unload your car at the accommodation upon arrival and departure. Then the car can be parked in the central parking lot. If you come with two cars, the second car can be parked in the parking lot outside the park.

Ossenzijl is characterised by the landscape of the Weerribben: a large variety of water, reed lands, hay meadows and swamp forests. In this area, you can spot many interesting animal species such as otters. The surrounding area has many unique (water) villages. Some examples are Blokzijl, Giethoorn, Oldemarkt and Kalenberg. We highly recommend exploring the area by boat! Visit Museum Giethoorn 't Olde Maat Uus, De Orchideeën Hoeve or Klimbos Avontuurlijk Paasloo for a wonderful outing. Would you rather spend a day shopping in a bigger city? Then head to nearby Meppel or Heereveen, where you will also find plenty of restaurants, cafés and terraces.

Beautiful surroundings, the accommodation is also fine, but we found the bedroom and bathroom a bit small. Having to climb into bed isn't ideal. And when you sit on the toilet, your knees are against the door. So that was a bit cramped. Otherwise, we had a great time.

All the upholstery (patio furniture and sofa) was very dirty and worn. There wasn't a single truly comfortable seat. No bedside tables, no lamps by the beds. The "bathroom" was much too small.
