Super cozy 2-person retro holiday home in the Achterhoek

This super cozy 2 person holiday home is located in the beautiful town of Netterden in the Achterhoek. It is decorated in the 60s style but equipped with all kinds of modern conveniences such as WiFi and a digital TV. The detached holiday home is situated on a private property and has a beautiful view over the farmlands from the garden. De Achterhoek is known for its peace, space and its geniality. Add to this the country estates, the imposing trees, the castles, the villages with a good store base and the many cycling and walking routes and there are the ingredients for a relaxing stay in nature.

This nice and completely ground floor cottage has a large spacious living room with sitting area, dining area and TV. The open kitchen has a four-burner stove, microwave, filter coffee maker and a refrigerator. There is one bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom has a shower, toilet and sink.

Outside a lovely garden with terrace and garden furniture. From the garden you have a beautiful view over the fields.In the shed next to the holiday home there is plenty of room to, for example, safely store your bicycles.

Netterden is located near the German border in the Achterhoek: a region with forests, estates, castles, small rivers, picturesque villages and pretty historic towns. Its small-scale and friendly character makes it an ideal place to relax. The beautiful countryside is perfect for cycling or hiking. Would you like a day out? Go to Mega Pret in Lievelde, visit Moezeköttel and learn about the housing situation after World War II, walk and taste wine at Wijngoed Montferland or visit Museum für Kaffeetechnik just across the German border. For tasty restaurants, visit nearby 's-Heerenberg or Doetinchem.

Very friendly reception. The cottage is set in a beautiful garden. Furnishings slightly dated but good.
Minus points:
toilet/shower separated from the bedroom only with a shower curtain.
It feels a bit damp inside.

It was a cosy cottage
For cycling, the surroundings were less favourable than we had expected We had more or less expected a scenic landscape, but later we heard that there had been land consolidation It was very open and less interesting for us We did find some nice places further on with the bikes in the car
