Beautiful holiday home for 3 people in beautiful Bergen.

On the edge of the village of Bergen is a former idyllic pottery house. The cottage is suitable for four people and is tastefully decorated. The house is not far from the dunes, the forest and the North Sea beach (5 km). Ideal for walkers and cyclists. The village is very cozy with many shops, restaurants and terraces. Bergen has a history that dates back to the 16th century.

The living room has a seating area and a dining table for four. The kitchen has everything you need including a filter coffee machine, fridge and microwave. The bathroom has a shower and toilet. Upstairs are two bedrooms one with a double bed (one mattress, 150x200) and one with a single bed. Both bedrooms have mosquito net systems. The fully enclosed courtyard is at your disposal to enjoy the sun. This courtyard has an old well. The car can be parked on the driveway next to the holiday home.

Location and surroundings

Bergen, North-Holland

The peace, space and wide avenues with lots of greenery and nature make the artist village of Bergen a traditionally popular place for artists and holidaymakers. Many artists live in Bergen and you can admire their work in the galleries or in the artists' centre. The pretty village is more than 1,000 years old and built around the Ruïnekerk church, dating from the 15th century. The centre of Bergen has many terraces, cafés, restaurants and boutiques. From here, you can also walk or cycle through the beautiful dunes to the extensive beach. The nearby town of Alkmaar has its famous cheese market every Friday and Bergen also hosts craft and art markets in the summer.

I had a wonderful few days in this "lovely cottage." It was very comfortably furnished, and everything was provided. Upon arrival, Jean gave me a warm welcome. During the day, I enjoyed lovely walks and bike rides to the sea and through the beautiful dunes. Back home, I enjoyed the sun on the terrace, occasionally enjoying a friendly chat with Jean and Ineke.

Sweet... that's the first thing that came to mind when we walked into the cottage. What makes this cottage so special? Bergen, of course, what a wonderful place! But definitely also the view of the beautiful garden of the hosts Jean and Ineke and the wonderful patio! An absolute must for all ages!
