In the beautiful surroundings of Norg, head out for a day of cycling or a long walk. Getting lost in these surroundings will certainly not be a punishment. The landscape consists of fields, heaths, wet grasslands and precious old woodlands. The beautiful nature reserves Fochterloërveen the Drents-Friese Wold are even within cycling distance. For a day out, visit the National Prison Museum in Veenhuizen, the Drents Museum or the toy museum Kinderwereld in Roden. In Norg, you will find several cosy restaurants and boutiques. We stayed in the Wittehoek, a historic bungalow with a hot tub, which sleeps 2 or 4. The staff is very friendly, and the atmosphere is small and family-friendly. The bungalows are beautifully situated in the woods. The bungalow itself is a bit dated, but cozy and inviting. The hot tub is wonderful! The surrounding area is also beautifully wooded, with hiking trails suitable for children.
