Unique 4 person holiday home in Merksplas near Turnhout.
This unique four-person holiday home is located on the property of a spacious private domain in the neighborhood of Turnhout near the place Merksplas. At the holiday home there is a large pond. There is a boat in the pond that you can sail on. You can also fish in the fish-rich pond. Merksplas colony has been nominated as a world heritage site. There are numerous hiking and cycling trails in Merksplas, but there are also many ponds. Merksplas is close to Turnhout, Hoogstraten and the enclave municipality of Baarle Hertog-Nassau. Surprising accommodation!
Cozy furnished living room with a dining and a sitting area with TV and wood burning stove. A kitchen with crockery, pans, fridge, combi microwave, kettle and Dolce Gusto coffee maker, an electric stove. The bathroom has a shower, sink and sauna. towels are provided there. Separate toilet.
Upstairs there is an open bedroom with two single beds and a double bed. The beds are made upon arrival. A lovely veranda that connects the holiday home with the manager's home.
Outside there are various terraces with garden furniture.

Merksplas, Antwerp
The area around Merksplas has been nominated as a world heritage site. There are some gems to discover, such as the chapel and the prison museum, both located on the Merksplas colony (also called vagrants' colony). Several guided walks and tours are done from here. The kromven is in the Graafsbos Estate, located opposite the Zwartgoor Estate. Beautiful walks and cycling tours can also be made from here, just like at Natuurreservaat Hoogmoerheide. In Merksplas, there are also many lakes where you can do all sorts of things, and the nearby towns of Turnhout, Hoogstraten and the enclave municipality of Baarle Hertog-Nassau are definitely worth a visit.

Wonderful stay. We had beautiful weather. It's a shame the arrival time (4 p.m.) was so late and the departure time (10 a.m.). Very friendly hostess!Heerlijk verblijf.Hadden schitterend weer. Spijtig dat het aankomstuur (16 u) zo laat is en het vertrekuu(10u). Zeer vriendelijke gastvrouw!

Here you can truly recharge. The beautiful garden surrounding the cottage is so peaceful. There's so much to see in the surrounding area. We received a very friendly welcome. It was great that we could also use the towels.Hier kan je helemaal opladen. Wat een rust is deze prachtige tuin bij het huisje. Omgeving is veel te zien. Heel vriendelijk ontvangen. Fijn dat we ook gebruik konden maken van de handdoeken.
