Maarn, Utrecht
Maarn is a special village nominated for Unesco's World Heritage List. In fact, Maarn is one of the last intact garden villages in the Netherlands. The village is located in the National Park De Utrechtse Heuvelrug which boasts a variety of landscapes and animals. The forests and estates are ideal for walkers, and there are also numerous beautiful routes for cyclists. For example, take the castle route that leads you through the woods from castle to castle or walk to the pleasant day recreation area Henschotermeer. Take up the challenge and climb the Zonheuvel, De Maarnse Berg, the Sint-Helenaheuvel or the Doornse Kaap. Prefer a day of shopping? Then head to Veenendaal, Amersfoort or Zeist.

The cottage is too small for 6 people! The location was great. The surroundings are beautiful for cycling. The lack of air conditioning is a downside!

The cottage was completely different than expected. It was a disabled-friendly cottage, but the bathroom was completely different and smaller than the two in the photo. The cottage, especially the bathroom, was extremely dirty. Pink soap residue covered the floor, walls, grab rails, and shower chair. Clothes were also in closets and under mattresses. Outside, there were loose cigarette butts everywhere.
