Nice forest house for four people in the middle of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug

Come and enjoy this four-person chalet and also enjoy the wonderful nature of the Utrecht Ridge. The chalet is situated on a holiday park that exudes peace and quiet. For the children there is a playground and within walking distance you will find the lake Henschoter forest bath. Rent bikes at the reception and discover this beautiful part of the Netherlands, with its forests, heathland, sand drifts, ramparts, grassland, water and height differences on the bike. Due to its central location, there are many nice trips to make. How about culture sniffing or shopping in the nice cities of Amersfoort and Utrecht. In short all ingredients are available for a natural holiday pur sang!

This four-person chalet has a living room with television and adjoining a dining table. In the fully furnished kitchen you will find a dishwasher and filter coffee maker. There are two bedrooms. A bedroom with a double bed and a bedroom with two single beds. The bathroom is equipped with a shower and toilet. Outside you will find a porch with garden furniture. There is parking space directly at the holiday home for one car.

Maarn, Utrecht

Maarn is a special village nominated for Unesco's World Heritage List. In fact, Maarn is one of the last intact garden villages in the Netherlands. The village is located in the National Park De Utrechtse Heuvelrug which boasts a variety of landscapes and animals. The forests and estates are ideal for walkers, and there are also numerous beautiful routes for cyclists. For example, take the castle route that leads you through the woods from castle to castle or walk to the pleasant day recreation area Henschotermeer. Take up the challenge and climb the Zonheuvel, De Maarnse Berg, the Sint-Helenaheuvel or the Doornse Kaap. Prefer a day of shopping? Then head to Veenendaal, Amersfoort or Zeist.

Regarding the cottage: upon entering, it smelled musty, as did the duvets. Cooking makes the cottage damp, which is also evident in the mold spots on the ceilings. The extractor hood/filter might need to be changed more often.

Wij hebben een fijn weekend gehad. Het huisje zag er erg gezellig uit dit was prima.
Alleen was het erg donker en weinig verlichting om op avond even een eindje op het park te gaan lopen was geen succes. Misschien dat er meer verlichting langs de paden kan komen. Zodat je veiliger een ommetje kan maken op het park.
