Quiet 2-person forest lodge in the middle of greenery with a covered terrace

In this cozy Forest Lodge for two, you'll experience a truly peaceful and almost magical atmosphere. The property is nestled in a wooded setting where, from the living room or the comfortable terrace, you can enjoy the gentle rustling of leaves and, with a bit of luck, the sight of passing deer. Kotten is a hamlet in the municipality of Winterswijk, in the Gelderland Achterhoek region. This picturesque destination is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and for nature lovers. The many cycling and walking routes in the area lead past beautiful spots and nature reserves. Near Kotten, the Italian Lakes are a special attraction. These flooded clay pits owe their name to the blue-green color of their water. The towns of Winterswijk and Doetinchem are nearby and are definitely worth a visit. In Winterswijk, the Steenquaeve (quarry) and Villa Mondriaan are recommended, while in Doetinchem, Slangenburg Castle, the Walmolen (walmill), and the Stadsmuseum (city museum) attract many visitors.

Because of the beautiful location surrounded by greenery and the well-maintained grounds. The staff was very friendly and the house, except for the bathroom, was very clean.

It was a nice experience. We enjoyed the location of the cottage. It is a pity that a few things didn't go so well. Specifically: the access code and later the key did not always work. The Nespresso machine worked partially. And the ignition for the outdoor fireplace was broken. We are indeed passing all of this on to help. Otherwise, nothing but praise!!
