Kotten is a hamlet in the municipality of Winterswijk, in the Gelderland Achterhoek region. This picturesque destination is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and for nature lovers. The many cycling and walking routes in the area lead past beautiful spots and nature reserves. Near Kotten, the Italian Lakes are a special attraction. These flooded clay pits owe their name to the blue-green color of their water. The towns of Winterswijk and Doetinchem are nearby and are definitely worth a visit. In Winterswijk, the Steenquaeve (quarry) and Villa Mondriaan are recommended, while in Doetinchem, Slangenburg Castle, the Walmolen (walmill), and the Stadsmuseum (city museum) attract many visitors.

I think the location of the cottage is great, as well as the option to simply choose your own days outside of long weekends and midweeks. I will definitely come back.

Our house on the edge of the forest was beautiful, the location unique, and the view across the fields simply magnificent! The house was very nicely furnished and very well maintained. We felt very comfortable and had a wonderful, relaxing stay!
Unser Haus am Waldrand war wunderschön, die Lage einmalig, der Blick über die Felder einfach grandios! Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist sehr schön und sehr gepflegt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und uns sehr gut erholt!

A lovely holiday park with well-equipped houses in a fantastic location! The option to rent bicycles and explore the surrounding countryside is also a great feature! However, for those sensitive to noise: the walls are thin, and you're surrounded by nature – so bring earplugs if you're concerned.
Schöner Ferienpark mit gut eingerichteten Häusern und in einer tollen Lage! Schön ist auch die Option Fahrräder ausleihen zu können und damit dann durch die Natur zu fahren!
Aber für alle Hörempfindlichen: die Wände sind dünn, man ist in der Natur - also im Zweifel Ohropax mitnehmen.
