Kotten is a hamlet in the municipality of Winterswijk, in the Gelderland Achterhoek region. This picturesque destination is ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and for nature lovers. The many cycling and walking routes in the area lead past beautiful spots and nature reserves. Near Kotten, the Italian Lakes are a special attraction. These flooded clay pits owe their name to the blue-green color of their water. The towns of Winterswijk and Doetinchem are nearby and are definitely worth a visit. In Winterswijk, the Steenquaeve (quarry) and Villa Mondriaan are recommended, while in Doetinchem, Slangenburg Castle, the Walmolen (walmill), and the Stadsmuseum (city museum) attract many visitors.

Beautiful villa, everything you need. Clean. Hot tub is fantastic. We had a wonderful time and hope to return. We might even win a weekend getaway in the lottery for leaving our Villa Amalia in good condition.
