Upon entering, Kampen's City Bridge immediately catches the eye: this connection spans the river IJssel. As such, shipping played an important role in Kampen's history. Step aboard and take a tour of the area, while enjoying a bite to eat and a drink. Ashore, there are plenty of opportunities for that too. Walking through the town streets, you will immediately see the history and many monuments. The rich history is extensively exhibited in various museums, such as the Stedelijk Museum and the Ikonenmuseum. If you prefer to explore nature, hop on a bike and discover the green surroundings.
