Detached 6-person holiday home in Kalenberg in De Weerribben

This beautiful holiday home, suitable for six people, is situated in the heart of the stunning De Weerribben National Park. With the characteristic appearance of a peat-digger's cottage/farmhouse with a charming thatched roof, this holiday home home offers a unique experience. Thanks to the spacious 600-square-meter plot, you have breathtaking views of passing boats and reed fields. The front garden also offers opportunities for fishing and mooring a boat or canoe. A cycle path runs directly in front of the house, offering wonderful cycling opportunities. Interesting places in the Kop van Overijssel region, such as Ossenzijl and Blokzijl, are easily accessible, just a half-hour bike ride away.

The holiday home consists of two parts: a front house and a back house. The front house houses a charming café with a beautiful view of the canal. Here you'll find a cozy table for four to six people and a bar with four bar stools. There are also all sorts of amenities, such as a collection of (comic) books, games, shuffleboard, CDs, and even an accordion. The back house offers a spacious living room and a cozy kitchen-diner. The living room is furnished around a warm wood-burning stove and has two sofas and an armchair for relaxing. The kitchen-diner is well-equipped with an induction stove with oven, a refrigerator-freezer, a dishwasher, an electric kettle, a Senseo coffee machine, and a coffee grinder for freshly ground coffee. There's also a large dining table with chairs and a sofa. This dining table can even be transformed into a billiards table for extra fun. A washing machine, dryer, and microwave are available in the utility room.

On the first floor, there are three bedrooms. The first bedroom has a comfortable double bed and space for a fold-out cot if needed. The second bedroom has two single beds, and the third bedroom has a (small) double bed. All bedrooms have chests of drawers.

Doors in the kitchen/diner lead to the garden, where you'll find a spacious terrace. To the side and rear of the house is a large lawn with a pond. Under the large chestnut trees, you can enjoy the shade on warm days while overlooking the Kalenbergergracht canal. There's a separate shed with space to store and charge six bicycles. For parking your car, there's a free parking lot in the village, about a 13-minute walk from the house. Alternatively, you can take the boat. For your convenience, luggage can be collected and delivered by boat on both the day of arrival and departure.
