Location and surroundings

Bruinisse, Zeeland

Bruinisse is also known as the Mussel Town and for good reason! Local mussel farmers account for a third of the supply of mussels in the Netherlands. If you want to know a little more about this, you could visit Brusea where the life and work of a mussel fisherman is on display. Nearby, you will find Zierikzee, the capital of Schouwen-Duiveland, with its many authentic features. Nearby you will also find the interesting Deltapark Neeltje Jans and Ouwerk, where the Watersnoodmuseum is located. Prefer a day at the beach? Then you will be in Renesse in no time, where long beaches, cosy terraces and a vibrant nightlife are well represented.

This was my first holiday at a holiday park. After just one day, I was reminded of The Truman Show with Jim Carrey, which isn't to say it was bad. The houses look the same. The parking spaces are too small for my liking, but that's the Netherlands. The park can't do anything about the weather. Overall, it was an experience, but unfortunately, it's very expensive. Still, a B-.

We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend. The house was neat and clean, the facilities were great, and the park was lovely. We had a wonderful time!

The dishwasher was still full of food scraps, and the bathroom drawers were full of hair and nail clippers. What I missed in the bathroom was a hairdryer. They came to mow the lawn on Friday morning, and it was damp, so you brought everything inside, especially with a dog. Otherwise, the waterfront cottage was absolutely perfect.
