Child-friendly holiday park ‘t Schinkel near Hoenderloo on the Veluwe

This holiday park has a royal theme and is very suitable for families with children during the school holidays. Outside the school holidays, it is also very suitable for those seeking peace and quiet. There is plenty to do at the park. There is a mini market for delicious rolls for he breakfast and of course the daily shopping. There is also a snack bar, several playgrounds and an outdoor swimming pool. During the holidays there is also an entertainment programme packed with fun activities for all ages. Because of its location, it is also very suitable for nature lovers. From the park you can walk straight onto the heath or into the woods. There are various walking and cycling routes in this area.

Catering

There is an eatery at the snack bar you can order various snacks or get an ice cream, it is open from April 1 to September 30 every weekend and daily during school vacations. There is also a mini market with fresh rolls and daily groceries (open from April 1 to October 1).

Swimming pools

There is an outdoor pool with slide and another separate paddling pool. Please note that these are open from the May vacation until September 12. (In chilly or rainy weather, they are closed).

Playgrounds

At the park there are several outdoor playgrounds but also a fun indoor playground available.

Animation

In the school vacations there is a varied entertainment program for young and old. Due to the spread of vacations, it is possible that the first or last week of the school vacations there is no animation.

Location and surroundings

Hoenderloo is centrally located on National Park De Hoge Veluwe, the largest continuous nature reserve in the Netherlands. The village is surrounded by forests, moors and sand drifts. Take the car, the bike or the pram and discover the nature of the Veluwe at your leisure, unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. Hoenderloo is a wonderful base and you can do excellent shopping in nearby Apeldoorn, in the large indoor shopping centre De Oranjerie, Arnhem or Ede. Nearby attractions include De Apenheul, Het Loo Palace or children's amusement park Julianatoren. Arnhem is home to the Dutch Open Air Museum and how about a visit to the Hanseatic cities of Zutphen or Deventer?
