Oudesluis is located in the tip of North Holland, close to beaches and dunes. The village has existed for over 400 years and was once connected to the open sea and known at the time for whalers. Take a lovely walk along the Grote Sloot or visit several farm shops and the local beer brewery. The area also lends itself well to cycling trips. Explore the many flower bulb fields and in spring there are also various folk markets. Think for example of the famous cheese market in Alkmaar. Besides the cosy centre of Oudesluis, you can also visit the surrounding authentic villages Valkkoog and Groenveld, or Medemblik and its imposing Radboud Castle.
