The park is spacious, with large gardens surrounding the homes, and many situated on the creek, ideal for those seeking peace and quiet and nature lovers. Several homes feature a private spa or an outdoor kitchen with a barbecue and pizza oven.
From the park, you can walk straight into unspoiled nature, and just a 20-minute walk away, you'll discover the azure waters and white beaches of 't Nije Hemelriek, also known as the Maldives of the Netherlands. Drenthe is known for its impressive dolmens, fragrant heathlands, and wooded landscapes, perfect for wonderful walks and scenic bike rides. You can also explore the historic village of Orvelte or the centuries-old village of Norg.

Gasselte is a cosy village in the province of Drenthe. It is located on the Hondsrug, halfway between the villages of Gieten and Borger. It is a fine destination for those who love hiking and cycling in rural surroundings. Nature lovers should definitely walk the Boomkroonpad. This125-metre-long path is located high among the trees. Interested in prehistory? Then visit the Hunebedcentrum in Borger. In this archaeological museum you will learn all about prehistory. It is also just a stone's throw away from the largest hunebed in the Netherlands. For children, amusement park Drouwenerzand also guarantees a fun day out.
