Epe is in the middle of the Hoge Veluwe National Park, where you will find a succession of habitats of indigenous big game such as deer, red deer and wild boar. This beautiful area with its deciduous and coniferous forests, heathland and wild sand drifts is ideal for nature lovers and those seeking peace and quiet and endless cycling and walking tours. Epe also has an extensive range of shops and many restaurants where you can enjoy a delicious meal. Visit atmospheric little places like the old fortified town of Hattem and go shopping in big cities like Zwolle, Apeldoorn and Deventer. For a day out, visit recreational lake Kievitsveld, Walibi Holland or one of the many castles in the area.
