During the Dutch school holidays, a recreation team is present at the park to offer a very varied program, provided there is sufficient interest. There are two all-weather tennis courts, table tennis tables, and a large outdoor playground with more than 15 play structures. As a guest of Recreatiepark de Scherpenhof, you receive free access to PlayCity (a large indoor play paradise). PlayCity features slides of all shapes and sizes, a ball pit, monkey bridges, toboggan runs, ball cannons, and a soft play corner for the very little ones.

The park features a large outdoor pool, a heated indoor pool, a natural recreational lake, and of course the marina on the beautiful IJssel. At the recreational lake, there are also special spots for holidaymakers who want to cast their fishing lines.

Marina:

The large marina with approximately fifty-five berths is located directly on the IJssel. It is ideal if you want to take a boat trip on the IJssel from the holiday park. You can visit various Hanseatic cities such as Deventer and Zutphen directly from the marina. The charming town of Kampen and the connection to Flevoland are also easily accessible by boat.

Location and surroundings

Terwolde is located on the banks of the river IJssel, in the city triangle of Deventer, Apeldoorn and Zutphen. From Terwolde you can go in every direction: The Hoge Veluwe near Apeldoorn offers beautiful cycling routes and hiking trails, but a visit to the Hanseatic city of Deventer is also highly recommended. In the summer months, fun activities are often organized here, such as the summer fair, the Deventer Book Market and outdoor theater festival and Deventer on stilts. You can also enjoy wandering around in the villages of Vaassen and Epe. If you are looking for a fun day out, there is plenty to choose from: Paleis het Loo, Queen Julianatoren, Walibi World and many other attractions are within easy reach.
