Welcome to Ferienpark Frankenau. A holiday park for the whole family, located in a unique location in the Ederbergland. The holiday park is surrounded by nature just to the east of the Sauerland. This is the ideal destination for families and groups of friends who enjoy an active holiday. You can take great mountain bike tours and hikes from the park and the Kellerwald-Edersee National Park is literally a few steps away. The park is also located near the largest reservoir in Germany, namely the Edersee. At this vast lake you can go diving, sailing, surfing, water skiing, canoeing and boat boating, fishing and swimming. Because Ferienpark Frankenau is situated on a hill, you have an unobstructed view of the picturesque surroundings from most of the holiday homes.

There are no (central) facilities at the park itself. Fortunately, the surrounding area has much to offer. The village of Frankenau is just a few minutes' drive or a 10-minute walk away. Here you'll find a small supermarket, two bakeries, a good butcher, and two restaurants.
About 500 metres away you can play tennis or squash, go horse riding or take a covered wagon ride.

For both active holidaymakers and those looking for peace and quiet, Frankenau is the place to be. You will be amazed by all the beauty that the nearby Kellerwald-Edersee National Park has to offer. And above this national park you will also find Lake Edersee: Germany's largest reservoir on which just about all water sports can be practised. The surrounding area also offers numerous sports possibilities: from Frankenau you can make the most impressive cycling, hiking and mountain bike tours. There are also many cultural-historical possibilities here: the towns of Bad Arolsen, Frankenberg, Waldeck and Bad Wildungen are recommended, but the centuries-old castles in the area should also be on your list.
