The 17th-century village is centrally located in North Holland and is also next to the Unesco World Heritage Site the Beemster. There are many possibilities when you want a day out. For example, go to the Zaanse Schans, a unique neighborhood with working windmills, old crafts, beautiful green wooden houses and special museums. Volendam is also worth a visit, a beautiful village with traditional costumes, music and fish. Furthermore, you can visit cities like Alkmaar, Amsterdam and Hoorn. The IJsselmeer, the North Sea and the beautiful dunes are also nearby.
