Nice 6-person villa on the water at Villa Park Weddermeer.
These detached six-person villas are located at Villapark Weddermeer. This family-friendly park is situated in a beautiful nature reserve called 'Westerwolde' near the village of Wedde. This area is characterized by a variety of forests, heathlands, and waterways. Almost every villa has its own private fishing platform. Fishing from your own platform is a wonderfully relaxing experience. The water is teeming with fish!
These modern, detached villas are suitable for six people and have a living area of approximately 80m². You enter through the hall where the stairs to the first floor are located. The bright, spacious living room has a television. The fitted kitchen is well-equipped for at least six people and includes a combination microwave oven, filter coffee maker, Senseo coffee machine, and a dishwasher.
There is a bedroom on the ground floor with two single beds. The other two bedrooms also have two single beds and are located on the first floor. The bathroom has a bath or shower and a toilet and is located on the ground floor. Your terrace is equipped with garden furniture. Parking for one car is available at the villa. A second car and/or trailer can be parked in the central parking lot. The villa also has free Wi-Fi.

Located just across the Drenthe border you will find the beautiful surroundings of Wedde: an ideal base for wonderful walking and cycling tours. Explore the watery area by canoe or spend a day shopping in the lively student city of Groningen. A visit to the historic fortified town of Bourtange is also a must. For children there is also plenty to do in the area. Think for example of Wildlands in Emmen or Plopsaland Indoor in Coevorden. There are also several museums nearby: visit, among others, the Prison Museum in Veenhuizen, the Hunebedcentrum in Borger, the Remembrance Center Camp Westerbork or Museum Village Orvelte.

Unfortunately, we hadn't anticipated fireworks at the park. Our dog was so stressed that we only stayed one day. The general impression was that maintenance was somewhat overdue. The kitchen faucet was loose, and there were shards of glass under one of the sofas, which wasn't very convenient. We had trouble getting the TV to work, and the modem was loose.
Helaas hadden we geen rekening gehouden met vuurwerk op het park.
Ons hondje was zo gestresst, dat we slechts 1 dag zijn gebleven.
Algemene indruk was wat achterstallig onderhoud.
Kraan in de keuken zat los, glassplinters onder 1 van de banken, was ook niet zo handig.
TV kregen we met moeite aan de praat en modem hing los.

Owner's response:
At our park, the state of maintenance of the cottages varies because each cottage has its own owner (usually private individuals) who is responsible for its own upkeep. Some owners have already renovated their cottages, while others haven't yet. We will inform the owner of the cottage in question that their cottage appears to be in need of maintenance. We will report the specific problems reported to the park management (loose faucet, shards of glass under the sofa, difficult-to-operate TV, and a loose modem) so they can resolve them. It's unclear from the review whether these problems have already been reported to reception. We want to emphasize that similar situations should be reported immediately on-site so that a suitable solution can be found.
Op ons park zijn er verschillen tussen de staat van onderhoud van de huisjes, omdat elk huisje een eigen eigenaar heeft (veelal particulieren) die zelf verantwoordelijk is voor onderhoud. Een deel van de eigenaren heeft hun huisje reeds gerenoveerd, terwijl en andere groep hier nog niet aan toegekomen is. Wij zullen de eigenaar van het betreffende huisje informeren dat zijn huisje overkomt als achterstallig in onderhoud. We zullen aan het parkbeheer de specifiek gemelde problemen doorgeven (loszittende kraan, glassplinters onder de bank, tv dat moeizaam werkt en modem dat los hangt) zodat ze dit op kunnen lossen. Uit de review wordt niet duidelijk of deze problemen ook al bij de receptie zijn gemeld. Wij willen benadrukken dat soortgelijke situaties direct ter plaatse gemeld dienen te worden, zodat er kan worden gezocht naar een passende oplossing.

It's a pity there is no supermarket in the park, also because of hot sandwiches and other groceries of course
Jammer dat er geen supermarkt op het park zit ook ivm warme broodjes en andere boodschappen natuurlijk

Unfortunately, our experience wasn't as we expected. I had specifically requested a house without waterfront access, but it wasn't mentioned that there were no saunas or solariums. The park is lovely, but house number 84 is in poor condition. It's very dirty and the furniture is broken, clearly in need of renovation.
Leider haben wir es nicht so gut vorgefunden. Ich habe vorab gewünscht kein Haus am Wasser zu haben, mir wurde allerdings nicht geschrieben dass wir keine Saunen oder Solarium haben. Die Parkanlage ist schön, leider ist das Haus mit der Nr 84 in keinem guten Zustand. Sehr unsauber und kaputtes Mobiliar, da das Haus dringend renoviert werden muss
