The surrounding area is perfectly suited for various activities, from water sports on Lake Sneekermeer to exploring historic cities such as Leeuwarden and Sneek. In addition to the facilities on the park, such as a restaurant, petting zoo, playground, and swimming pond, there are also options for bicycle and boat rental.

Location and surroundings

Sint Nicolaasga, Friesland

From Sint-Nicolaasga, your choices include the Fries Museum in Leeuwarden, where you can see all the history of beautiful Friesland. Or you can visit the very first skating museum in Hindeloopen. Here you will also find the Elfstedenzaal, where historical material from the Elfstedentocht is on display. Leeuwarden is perfect for a day of shopping or an evening out (dining). Sneek and Joure are also recommended when it comes to atmospheric and historic cities. For an afternoon of swimming (or other water sports) you are also at the right place: the Sneekermeer and the Goëngarijpsterpoelen are very beautiful and perfect for a wonderful day out in the open air.
