Schoorl, North-Holland
Near Schoorl are the highest dunes in the Netherlands. In the heart of Schoorl is the famous climbing dune, below which cosy terraces provide the necessary rest after the climb. In the vast wooded dune area behind the climbing dune, a walk is highly recommended, but you can also traverse the dunes by bike. For a day out, go to Bergen with its art markets, check out the cosy harbour of Hoorn, visit the cheese market in Alkmaar on Friday or go to the beautiful Zaan region. Of course, you can also spend a day at the beach for swimming, sunbathing, sailing or surfing and then stroll along the cosy boulevards in the evening.

Our stay at Park Heerehof was genuinely very pleasant from start to finish. The park looked beautifully maintained and every dune lodge had more than enough privacy to make you feel like you are in a relaxing bubble. The lodge was equipped with everything to enjoy yourself to the fullest—we especially enjoyed the kitchen utensils :) Everything was also nice and close—the center is about 7 minutes from the park and the beautiful forest is really around the corner, so absolutely perfect for our long-awaited forest walk!
Ons verblijf bij Park Heerehof was oprecht vanaf het begin tot aan het eind heel aangenaam. Het park zag er prachtig verzorgd uit en elke duinlodge had meer dan genoeg privacy om het gevoel te krijgen alsof je in een ontspannende bubbel zit. De lodge was voorzien van alles om volop te genieten—wij hebben dan vooral genoten van de keukenspullen :)
Alles was ook lekker dichtbij—het centrum is ongeveer 7 min van het park vandaan en het mooie bos echt om de hoek, dus helemaal top voor onze lang gewenste boswandeling!
