Cabin for two people with hottub at a holiday park in Scherpenzeel

Located on "Boutique park de Kas" in the village of Scherpenzeel in Friesland, this cabin has the motto ‘Even back to basics’. The accommodation is located on a beautiful nature plot in a wooded area. Enjoy nature at the boutique park and help out in the vegetable garden by picking vegetables and lending a hand in the garden. Besides the vegetable garden and fruit trees, there are also several animals, including chickens, ducks, a piglet and a dog. Would you like to explore the area on foot or by bike? Then walk or cycle along ‘Het Voetpad’, which is part of the Zuiderzee route. The path lies behind the park, and from here you can also take to the water in a canoe and discover the natural environment while paddling.

This cabin is suitable for two people and inspired by Scandinavian spheres in terms of furnishings. The park's motto back to basics also reflects the simplicity of the accommodation. The cabin is therefore practical and the large windows make it a bright room. It is cooled and heated by air conditioning. There is a small kitchen equipped with a two-burner ceramic hob, fridge-freezer, Nespresso coffee machine with cups and a kettle. In the same room is also the double bed. The bathroom is separated by a sliding door and is equipped with a shower and toilet. Wi-Fi is available in the accommodation. Outside is a veranda with garden furniture and a Kamado barbecue.

Location and surroundings

Scherpenzeel (Fr.), Friesland
For a fun day out, visit one of the surrounding authentic Zuiderzee villages. In Lemmer, Blokzijl and Urk, among others, you will find plenty of history and cosy restaurants and terraces. For a day on the water, you can visit Giethoorn, also known as the Venice of the North. Here you can hire an electric boat or canoe, or explore the beautiful nature and canals this town has to offer by canal boat. The Kuinderbos is also recommended: in this beautiful nature reserve, you can take long walks and cycle routes and explore the area at its best. Another possibility is a day of shopping in nearby Heerenveen, Joure or Wolvega.

The peace and quiet, the terrace by the cottage, the vegetable garden where everyone is welcome to garden, the cycle routes and the lakes... enjoyed it very much.

We only stayed for 2 nights in a cabin with beautiful weather. We enjoyed relaxing on our veranda until late at night. You could light a fire pit (free wood was ready) or the BBQ. There was even a hot tub behind our cabin, which we didn't use, by the way. It was already warm enough without it. A lovely spot to stay. Informal, cozy, and quiet. Bordering a beautiful nature reserve, the Rottige Meente, where we took a lovely walk. Pure enjoyment! Unfortunately, there wasn't time for canoeing, but that was also possible from the park. We also received good tips for fun excursions. There were plenty of fruit trees and bushes at the park, but unfortunately they weren't quite ripe when we were there, and everything on the bushes was already gone. Go earlier in the season next time, haha. There was a beautiful vegetable garden though, where you could harvest for your own use (voluntary contribution in a jar, or sometimes free). Isn't it wonderful to have everything so fresh and pesticide-free right on your doorstep? We would love to come back again, but in slightly more spacious accommodation than our cabin. Although everything you need was there, the space is very minimalist. Fine for 2 nights, but for a week, we would prefer something a bit more spacious. But that is a matter of personal preference. The bed was very comfortable, by the way! And for the really hot days (or to keep the mosquitoes away), you can use the air conditioning.
Excellent
