The villa is situated on a holiday park, on the edge of Dwingelderveld National Park. Here, your walk or bike ride literally starts at the front door, in the middle of one of the quietest and most vast nature reserves in the Netherlands.

Ruinen, Drenthe

The village of Ruinen in Drenthe is located next to the beautiful Dwingelderveld National Park: a national park full of interesting flora and fauna and the ideal environment for cycling and walking tours. The sheep flock is definitely worth a visit. Every morning, the huge flock of sheep departs from the pen onto the Dwingelose moor and returns at the end of the day, a special spectacle to behold. Want to delve into the fascinating history of this region? Then visit the Memorial Centre Camp Westerbork, Museum Village Orvelte or see one of the many dolmens in the area. Want a great day out with the kids? Visit the Slagharen amusement park or go swimming in the Blauwe Meer in summer.
