Stylish four-people Family Cottage in beautiful surroundings
Stylish six-person Family Cottage at Holiday Park de Thijmse Berg. This cozy accommodation offers everything you need on holiday. Ideal for families with young children, the Family Cottages are set around a playground for the smallest of us! In a beautiful location on the edge of Rhenen and on the flanks of the Thijmse Berg and also wonderfully in the forest. From your holiday home you can easily reach the Veluwe, but also the Betuwe, the Grebbelinie and the Utrechtse Heuvelrug! The park includes a tennis court, a heated outdoor swimming pool, table tennis, football field and even an entertainment team during the school holidays.
This beautiful cottage can accommodate up to 4 adults and 2 children. The living / dining room with TV, open kitchen with gas stove (4 burners), dishwasher, fridge and freezer, Nespresso machine, kettle, oven and microwave. There is one bedroom with a double bed (160x200cm) and one bedroom with two single beds (90x190cm) and one bedroom with a bunk bed / transverse bed. The bedroom with a double bed adjoins a bathroom with a shower and toilet. The second large communal bathroom has a shower and toilet and plenty of storage / hanging space. Outside is a terrace with garden furniture and parasol. There is parking at the house.

Rhenen, Utrecht
Besides being breathtaking, the surroundings of Rhenen are also very surprising. De Thijmse Berg, De Utrechtse Heuvelrug, De Veluwe and De Betuwe are all just a stone's throw away. The area is also home to numerous centuries-old castles and manor houses, a wealth of opportunities for outdoor sports and, what's more, a variety of day trips. Visit Amerongen Castle, Kröller-Müller Museum or the Isle of Maurik. The area around Thijmse Berg is also perfect for the cyclists and hikers among us. There are many different mapped routes available. Would you prefer a day of shopping? Go to Utrecht or Nijmegen, where you will also find various museums and sights.

We stayed three nights in the family cottage and we (a family with two children aged two and four) really enjoyed it. The cottage was well-furnished; with two bathrooms and a well-equipped kitchen, we had plenty of room for everyone. The beds were great! The beautiful veranda with a playground right outside was ideal on this beautiful autumn weekend. Furthermore, we were just 50 meters outside the park, in the woods. (The outdoor pool was closed, so I can't comment. We didn't use the indoor playground, as the weather was too nice.) Check-in and check-out are done via the app, and it worked perfectly. We entered our license plate number in advance and were able to drive straight into the park. We could open the cottage directly via the app. We found this to be excellent, much better than at other holiday parks. Points for improvement would be a low kitchen table and chairs for small children, and a slightly more comfortable corner sofa.
We zijn 3 nachten verblven in het family cottage en het was ons (gezin met 2 kinderen van 2 en 4) zeer goed bevallen. Het huisje was goed ingericht; met 2 badkamers en een goed uitgeruste keuken hadden we voldoende ruimte voor iedereen. De bedden waren prima! De mooie veranda met een speeltuin voor de deur was ideaal in dit mooie herfstweekend. Verder waren we binnen 50 meter buiten het park in het bos. (het buitenzwembad was dicht, dus niet kunnen beoordelen. De binnenspeeltuin hebben we niet gebruikt, het was te mooi weer).
Het inchecken en uitchecken gaat via de app, en dit werkte perfect. We hadden ons kenteken vooraf ingevuld en konden direct het park oprijden. Via de app konden we het huisje direct openen. Wij vonden dit uitstekend werken, veel fijner dan bij andere vakantieparken.
Verbeterpunten zouden zijn; lage keukentafel + stoelen ivm kleine kinderen. En een iets comfortabelere hoekbank.
