5-person 1930s holiday home in Oostkapelle, close to forest, dune and beach
Do you want peace, space, beach and privacy? This can be found at the detached holiday home "De Primula". A charming 1930s house, restored with contemporary comfort. Located in the most beautiful and quietest part of Oostkapelle, near forest, dunes, sea and beach. This beautiful sandy beach has been voted the cleanest beach in the Netherlands several times.
'De Primula' has a garden (450 m²) at the front and rear, with plenty of privacy and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the sun and peace and quiet. From the living room, you step through the French doors into the garden. The living room, with bay window, also has a fireplace where you can spend cosy autumn and winter evenings or play a game in the dining area. The neat, separate kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, gas hob, oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, Nespresso, filter coffee maker, Senseo and kettle.
There is a bathroom and three bedrooms on the first floor. There are two bedrooms with a double bed (separate mattresses and duvets) and linen cupboard and one room with a single bed. The beds were replaced with lovely Auping beds in March 2023, ensuring a good night's sleep! The bathroom has a bath combined with shower, toilet and a sink. Downstairs is a separate toilet. Other facilities include a high chair, a washing machine and parking for several cars.

More and more tourists, bathers and day-trippers know how to find Oostkapelle. And that is only natural: in this beautiful spot on the coast everything comes together. Everything you need can be found in the village: restaurants, supermarkets, bicycle rental, weekly summer markets and various stores. What makes Oostkapelle so beautiful is that it has a direct connection to the beach and the surrounding nature (Oranjezon and De Manteling) where you can enjoy cycling or walking. Various events are organized throughout the year in Oostkapelle and there are also many opportunities for days out: visit Kasteel Westhove or Deltapark Neeltje Jans, for example.

We had a wonderful weekend. The house was very well-equipped; the only thing we missed was a citrus juicer. Beautiful view and comfortable beds. Cozy living room. We were close to the beach and a beach bar, Oost, which is open every day, even in October, at 11 a.m. on Monday. Unfortunately, we had to leave at 10 a.m. on Monday, which was very early, and arriving at 3 p.m. on Saturday was late.
We hebben een heerlijk weekend gehad. Erg compleet huis, we misten alleen een citruspers. Heel mooi uitzicht, en goede bedden. Gezellige woonkamer. We zaten dicht bij het strand en een strandbar Oost die iedere dag geopend is ook in oktober op maandagochtend 11 uur. Helaas moesten we er ma om 10 uur uit, erg vroeg en op za om 15 uur erin is laat 🥺

Hospitality elsewhere, when it came to picking up keys, was only mediocre. The unmade beds were the same. The house was dusty and not very clean. Facilities were adequate, but a bit worn here and there (locks and hardware, furniture). Bringing your own kitchen linens is a bit of a stretch. All in all, this makes the price-quality ratio somewhat unfavorable.
Gastvrijheid is met het ophalen van sleutels elders maar matig. Onopgemaakte bedden idem.
Het huis was stoffig en niet goed schoon.
Faciliteiten waren voldoende, maar hier en daar wat sleets (hang en sluitwerk, meubels).
Zelf keukentextiel meenemen is wat zuinig.
Al met al maakt dit de prijs-kwaliteitsverhouding wat ongunstig.
