Comfortable 6 person holiday home on the water in Medemblik, near the IJsselmeer
Discover this lovely holiday home for six at Vakantiepark IJsselmeer in Medemblik. This comfortable house is located right on the Vliet and has a private jetty, ideal for fishing or boating. Medemblik, with its beautiful West Frisian landscape and rich history, is the perfect base for all kinds of activities. Visit historical attractions such as the Medemblik War Museum and Radboud Castle, or enjoy walks, cycling, swimming and kite surfing in the area. Within the holiday park you will find a heated indoor swimming pool and a cosy brasserie with waterside terrace, for a carefree stay.
Entrance with stairs to the top, a guest toilet and separate storage room. There is a spacious water-oriented living room with a cozy sitting area with television and French doors to the terrace. The open kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator with freezer, four-burner stove, coffee maker (filter) and kettle.
On the upper floor are three bedrooms each with two single box spring beds and a bathroom with shower, toilet and bath. All holiday homes have a garden with terrace and location on the water, and a private jetty. Some houses have a fence on the water side. There is parking space for one car at the holiday home.

Medemblik, North-Holland
Medemblik is a picturesque town with old houses, narrow streets and picturesque facades. Medemblik and its surroundings offer a wealth of opportunities for relaxation: beautiful walking and cycling routes, the old cozy city center with many terraces and the authentic market on Saturdays in the summer months. Also visit Castle Radboud Medemblik, the Dutch Steam Engine Museum, the Zuiderzee Museum or Sprookjeswonderland. The city of Alkmaar is also worth a visit, every Friday you can see the famous cheese market. Nature and the many recreational areas in the area are ideal not only for sailors, but also for surfers, swimmers, sunbathers and anglers.

The cottage is well-located for sightseeing in North Holland and possibly Friesland. The cottage's furnishings need some upgrading; some of the furniture and beds sagged too much. The downstairs shower was incredibly slippery (no non-slip tiles); we bought a mat ourselves because it was too dangerous without one (especially for elderly people). Otherwise, it was excellent!
Goede ligging van het huisje tov bezienswaardigheden in Noord-Holland en evt Friesland. Inrichting huisje behoeft wat ‘upgrading’ sommige meubels/bedden te zeer doorgezakt. De douche beneden werd spekglad (geen antislip tegels); we hebben zelf een mat gekocht omdat het zonder te gevaarlijk was ( zeker voor mensen op leeftijd).

The cottage was very clean inside, but there were lots of cobwebs outside. The shower leaked heavily during use, flooding the entire bathroom. It was nice that there were mosquito screens upstairs, but unfortunately, there weren't downstairs. The TV picture was poor. Otherwise, we had a wonderful holiday!
Binnen was het huisje goed schoon, buiten heel veel spinnenwebben. Douche lekte behoorlijk tijdens het douchen, hele badkamer onder water. Het was fijn dat er boven horren waren, beneden niet, helaas. Slecht beeld op tv. Verder hebben we een heerlijke vakantie gehad!
