Location and surroundings

Maaseik, Belgian-Limburg

Maaseik is a town located in the north-east of the Belgian province of Limburg. It is the birthplace of the painter brothers Van Eyck. The historic centre is worth a visit, with Musea Maaseik, the Regional Archaeological Museum and the church treasures of St Catherine's Church, which includes the oldest gospel book. Maaseik is a nice shopping town, where it is good to relax on a terrace on one of Belgium's most beautiful market squares. A stone's throw from the city, Heerenlaak marina is a nice stopover during a cycling or walking tour.

The atmosphere was fantastic, and so was the style with which you arranged everything. Plenty of wood and a wonderful hot tub for the ultimate relaxation. We didn't expect it to be so quiet; it was truly impressive and well-designed. What a wonderful weekend we had!
