Holiday home for 5 people with pet on a wooded holiday park in Belgium

This cosy holiday home for five people is located on a holiday park in the woods on the edge of the Hoge Kempen National Park in Neeroeteren, where you can go for lovely walks with your dog. The park has the most exciting climbing park and the most adventurous mini-golf in Limburg! The park has a private spa with sauna for rent for two hours, which can be booked in advance. There are endless walking and cycling routes to explore the surroundings. Bicycles can be rented at reception. Walking and cycling routes are also available.

Via the terrace you enter the cosy living area, where there is a wood-burning stove and you can enjoy the wooded surroundings. There is a compact kitchen with a 2-burner gas hob, fridge and plenty of cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. For your daily coffee moment, a Bialetti is at your disposal. Don't forget to bring your ground coffee! The tap water is drinkable. The sleeping area, directly adjacent to the living area, consists of two double beds and is a loft bed. There is also a single bed by the window. The compact bathroom has a shower bath, toilet, a bathroom cabinet and an electric heater. On the spacious covered terrace, with atmospheric lighting, there is a gas barbecue. The car can be parked in the car park at the entrance to the park.

Location and surroundings

Maaseik, Belgian-Limburg

Maaseik is a town located in the north-east of the Belgian province of Limburg. It is the birthplace of the painter brothers Van Eyck. The historic centre is worth a visit, with Musea Maaseik, the Regional Archaeological Museum and the church treasures of St Catherine's Church, which includes the oldest gospel book. Maaseik is a nice shopping town, where it is good to relax on a terrace on one of Belgium's most beautiful market squares. A stone's throw from the city, Heerenlaak marina is a nice stopover during a cycling or walking tour.

We had such a wonderful time; the coziness, the friendliness, and the space and facilities at the park were fantastic! We loved the water pond and the playground for the kids. Sleeping in the bunk beds was fantastic, and my four-year-old daughter absolutely loved showering and bathing in the barrel.
