The Gelderland village of Lieren is a lovely destination for those who love nature and enjoy walking or cycling. In nearby Apeldoorn, there is plenty to see and do. Het Loo Palace is a must-see, where you can see how the royal family lived and worked there. The Apenheul is also great fun, with over 35 species of monkeys, some of which even roam loose. Children's amusement park Julianatoren is a treat for the youngest, where they can enjoy more than 6o attractions. Nature lovers can indulge in National Park De Hoge Veluwe, which is nearby.

The cottage is very beautiful! The surroundings too. However, the facilities and the shop were a huge disappointment to us. Indeed, it is still under construction. But that should at least be mentioned on the website. Also, our oven didn't work. And apparently, that had been a problem in the cottage before. We had a super delicious meal at the restaurant! But the floor, the window sills, and the chairs were really super dirty. We own a hospitality business ourselves and understand that it is impossible to manage when it is busy and there is little staff. But there were clouds of dust on the floor near the high tables leading to the billiards table. I am really not a complainer, really not. But a cottage like this costs a lot of money, so this is a shame. Fortunately, I had brought groceries with me. But in the shop, you couldn't even buy young cheese 48+ or eggs. That is just a pity.
Huisje is heel mooi! Omgeving ook. Echter de faciliteiten en het winkeltje viel ons ontzettend tegen. Inderdaad het is nog in opbouw. Maar dat mag wel gezegd worden op de website. Ook deed onze oven het niet. En blijkbaar was dat al eerder een probleem geweest in het huisje. Het restaurant super lekker gegeten! Maar de vloer en de vensterbanken en de stoelen die waren echt super vies. Wij hebben zelf een horeca gelegenheid en snap dat het met drukte en weinig personeel niet te doen is. Maar de stofwolken lagen op de vloer bij de statafels richting het biljart. Ik ben echt geen zeurpiet echt niet. Maar het kost toch een hoop geld zo’n huisje en dan is dit jammer. Gelukkig had ik boodschappen mee genomen. Maar in het winkeltje kon je jonge kaas 48+ of eieren nog niet eens kopen. Dat is gewoon jammer.

It was a nice cottage with all the amenities. Everything was neat and clean. The park staff were super friendly and helpful. Everything was great! Enjoyed it immensely! Definitely worth repeating!!
Het was een leuk huisje met alles erop en er aan. Alles was netjes en schoon.
