Kaard, Friesland

The village of Kaard is centrally located on the island of Terschelling and is a quiet and characteristic village that serves as a good starting point for exploring the island. Within the village itself, there are several charming farmhouses and quiet streets. Not far from the village lies the vast dune area of ​​Boschplaat, a beautiful nature reserve where you can walk and spot birds. A visit to the Wreck Museum Terschelling is also worthwhile. Here you will discover stories about shipwrecks and beach finds. For a beautiful view of the island, you can visit the famous Brandaris lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the Netherlands. From Kaard, you can easily reach these attractions by bicycle.
