Within a two-minute walk, you are in the centre of Egmond aan Zee with various terraces, restaurants and shops. The village is known for its rich fishing history and the iconic lighthouse, Jan van Speyk. Adjacent to the village is the Hollands Duinreservaat nature reserve with various cycling and walking paths. You might come across Scottish Highlanders or wild horses.

The seaside resort is located in the middle of the dunes and you can enjoy a snack and a drink on one of the many terraces, shop in the cosy shopping street or take a refreshing dip in the North Sea. Of course, you can also just go there for your shopping. Also visit the cosy town of Alkmaar, known for its cheese market, but you can also enjoy a lovely walk in the centre, or a pleasant afternoon shopping in one of the many shops.
