Comfortable 4-person holiday home located directly on the Dwingelderveld National Park
Holiday home De Specht is fully equipped. It's located on a small-scale holiday park, Zonnetij, without any facilities, and borders Dwingelderveld National Park. From your accommodation, you can enjoy beautiful walks, cycling, mountain biking, or horseback riding in the woods and on the vast, tranquil heathland. Dogs are welcome. The well-known village of Dwingeloo is just 2 km away, with several restaurants and shops. There are plenty of fun activities to enjoy in the surrounding area. Some suggestions include: the Dwingeloo Observatory (one of the darkest places in the Netherlands), the Ruinen and Lhee sheepfold, the Dwingeloo Experience/Swimming Pool, the Orvelte Monument Village, Wildlands, a day of punting in Giethoorn, and Camp Westerbork. In short, all the ingredients for a relaxing and carefree holiday!
The cozy living room features a dining area and sitting area, complete with a TV and DVD player. The kitchen is fully equipped, including a dishwasher, refrigerator with freezer compartment, combination oven, four-burner gas stove, filter coffee maker, kettle, and toaster. There are two bedrooms. Downstairs, there's a spacious bedroom with two single box-spring beds and a bathroom with a rain shower, sink, and separate toilet. Upstairs, there's a sleeping loft with two single beds.
There's a spacious south-facing terrace. Parking for one car is available next to the house, approximately 20-30 meters away. Other cars can be parked outside the property, approximately 40 meters away. There's a storage shed for bicycles.

Location and surroundings
Dwingeloo is located in the beautiful Dwingelderveld National Park. Here you can enjoy the nature and tranquillity for which Drenthe is famous. You can also enjoy an active holiday here: there are endless cycling and walking routes through the beautiful woods and heathland in the area. Many activities are organised in the summer months: markets, stargazing evenings and the Midsummer Festival. For a special day out, you can visit Remembrance Centre Camp Westerbork, hire a boat in Giethoorn or stargaze in the Planetron. For a day of swimming, go to the Blue Lake or one of the many (indoor) swimming pools in the area.
