Cozy 4 person holiday home near Durbuy in the Ardennes
This beautifully situated holiday home for four persons is less than five kilometers from the nice and small town of Durbuy, in the southernmost and largest province of our neighboring country Belgium, namely Belgian Luxembourg. Durbuy is located in a natural and quiet environment and guarantees a wonderful and relaxing holiday close to home. The wooded area around Durbuy is ideal for walking, riding or cycling. In the area you can enjoy motorcycling and good kayaking or fishing in a nearby river.
The ground floor consists of an open plan kitchen and living room with large windows overlooking the garden. The kitchen is well equipped, including an oven, four-burner hob, microwave, dishwasher, kettle, Senseo and filter coffee machine. The living area has a flat screen TV and a pellet stove. Two bedrooms on the first floor, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. In the garden you have a lovely terrace with garden furniture. The garden is fully enclosed.

We had a peaceful week, which was nice. The welcome was excellent. The surrounding area is very car-oriented, with little within walking distance. The facilities were very basic/mediocre; for example, the kitchen equipment and dishes were a bit lacking, one of the children fell through the deck, and there was a foul smell from the shower.
We hebben een rustige week gehad, dat was lekker. Ontvangst was meer dan prima. Omgeving is erg auto-gericht, weinig op loopafstand. De faciliteiten waren erg basic/middelmatig, het was bijvoorbeeld behelpen met de keukeninrichting en servies, één van de kinderen zakte door de vlonder, vieze lucht uit de douche.

The decking outside was rotten, lacking basic necessities like little more than half a roll of toilet paper. The wood siding in the bedroom was covered in old, smothered insect carcasses. The kitchen equipment could also be better, like a cutting board and a regular frying pan. I was glad I'd brought a lot of it myself, but this shouldn't be possible.
De vlonders buiten waren rot, er waren geen basic benodigdheden zoals iets meer dan een half rolletje toiletpapier. De schrootjes in de slaapkamer zaten vol oude doodgeslagen insecten lijkjes.
Keukeninventaris mag ook beter, zoals een snijplank en een normale koekenpan. Ik was blij dat ik veel zelf had meegenomen, maar dit zou niet moeten kunnen.
