Cosy 4-person holiday home on a small-scale car-free holiday park in Burgh-Haamstede
Located in the picturesque village of Burgh Haamstede, on the beautiful coast of Zeeland, this accommodation offers a charming and comfortable base for a relaxing holiday by the sea. This cosy holiday home is located on a child-friendly, car-free park. That means carefree enjoyment for young and old! On the park itself, you can use the swimming pool (for a fee) and various sports fields. The proximity of the beach makes it easy to enjoy long walks along the coastline or a day of sunbathing. Burgh Haamstede itself also offers a range of activities and attractions, including historical sights, beautiful hiking trails and cosy restaurants serving local delicacies. This stay promises an unforgettable experience on the beautiful coast of Zeeland.
The holiday home is suitable for four people and has a living room with cosy seating area with television, there is also free wifi. The dining area is furnished with a table and chairs. Adjacent is the kitchen which includes a microwave, fridge freezer, toaster, Dolce Gusto coffee machine and a filter coffee machine.
The three bedrooms are on the first floor. The first bedroom has a double bed (180x200cm) with a wardrobe to store your personal belongings. The other two bedrooms are furnished with a single bed (90x200cm) with also space to store belongings. One of these rooms also has toys, games, drawing materials and reading books for children.
You walk through the sliding doors into the garden of the holiday home, which is facing south. The garden has a terrace with a table, garden chairs and a parasol. At the beginning of the park is a large car park. Here you can park your car in the reserved parking space that belongs to this property.

Everything was fine. But the only downside was that when I made the reservation, it said check-out was at 6 PM. And the day before, I received a message saying check-out was at 9:30 AM.

A small supermarket on site would have been nice. The complex is quite far from public life (village center, etc.), so you can only reach destinations by car or bicycle. Since the on-site bike rental is only open for 30 minutes a day, this was very difficult for us at first, and we had to use another rental company. Furthermore, the accommodation was not clean – there were cigarette butts everywhere on the terrace, grass cuttings on the lawn, which we had to clean up before we could use the garden, and some of the cutlery and dishes were left dirty in the cupboard, so we had to clean everything first. Furthermore, it would have been nice if the stairs had been properly depicted in the ad. Since the stairs weren't visible, we didn't think much of it, but with knee problems, it's difficult to get up or down. There's also no anti-slip protection like carpeting on the steps. The stairs were also very dangerous for the dog, so my husband had to sleep on the floor with the mattress downstairs the whole time. A few more cleaning products would have been nice; especially with animals, you have to mop up more often; there was no mop available. Check-out was already quite early at 9:30, but acceptable. However, the cleaning staff was already at the door at 9:10, which stressed us out. We would, of course, come back if the above-mentioned points were implemented, but otherwise, less so. Despite all this, we made the best of it and used the accommodation mainly for sleeping, as the atmosphere was unfortunately lacking. Best regards, the Kukol family.
Ein kleiner Supermarkt in der Anlage wäre schön gewesen. Die Anlage ist schon sehr weit vom öffentlichen Leben (Dorfmitte etc) entfernt, sodass man nur mit dem Auto oder dem Fahrrad Ziele erreichen kann. Da der der interne Fahrradverleih nur täglich 30 Minuten geöffnet hat, erschwerte uns das anfangs sehr und mussten einen anderen Verleih in Anspruch nehmen. Desweiteren war die Unterkunft nicht sauber - es lagen überall Zigarettenreste auf der Terasse, Grünschnitt auf der Wiese, welchen wir beseitigen mussten um den Garten nutzen zu können und das Besteck sowie Geschirr war teilweise dreckig zurück im Schrank gestellt, sodass wir alles erstmal reinigen mussten. Darüber hinaus, wäre es schön gewesen, wenn in der Anzeige die Treppe richtig abgebildet werden könnte. Da die Treppe nicht ersichtlich war haben wir uns nichts dabei gedacht, allerdings kommt man mit Knieproblemen nicht gut hoch, weder runter. Es ist auch kein Rutsch Schutz wie Teppich auf den Stufen installiert. Für den Hund waren die Treppen auch sehr gefährlich und dadurch musste mein Mann mit der Matratze die ganze Zeit unten auf den Boden schlafen. Ein bisschen mehr Reinigungsprodukte wären schön gewesen, gerade mit Tieren muss man öfter mal wischen, es war kein Wischer vorhanden. Der Check Out war an sich schon sehr früh 9:30 aber akzeptabel, allerdings stand die Reinigungskraft schon um 9:10 vor der Tür, welches uns unter Stress setzte. Wir würden natürlich wieder kommen, wenn die oben genannten Punkte umgesetzt werden, ansonsten eher weniger. Trotzalle dem haben wir das beste draus gemacht und haben die Unterkunft hauptsächlich nur zum Schlafen genutzt, denn Wohlfühlathmosphäre war leider nicht vorhanden. Liebe Grüße Familie Kukol
