Ground floor holiday home for 3 people with wide views, in the green area near Borger

This single-story holiday home for three people is located just outside Borger, in the heart of a wooded and rural setting on the Hondsrug. From the garden, you look out over expansive fields, a view that is especially enchanting at sunset.

The house has its own entrance and a private garden where you can relax in peace. Whether you're reading a book in the sunshine or simply enjoying the tranquility around you, this is the perfect place to unwind. Coffee and tea will be waiting for you upon arrival, so your holiday can begin in complete relaxation.

The surrounding area offers numerous hiking and cycling routes, passing through forests, heathlands, and prehistoric dolmens. The Pieterpad trail even passes right by the house, making it an ideal base for hiking two stages. The village of Borger is also a short distance away, with its charming restaurants, shops, and the Dolmen Centre.

Cities like Emmen, Assen, and Groningen are easily accessible by public transport. The bus stop is just 1.5 km away. For cyclists, there is covered parking right next to the house, including charging facilities for electric bicycles.

Three Frisian horses and two friendly Labradors live on the farm, further enhancing the rural character. An ideal stay for those who love nature and open spaces.

The small town of Borger in Drenthe, also known as the hunebed capital, is located in beautiful and nature-rich surroundings. In addition to endless cycling possibilities in the area, you can also take beautiful walks here. Visit the Boomkroonpad and take a unique walk through the treetops or immerse yourself in the history of the region and visit Remembrance Centre Camp Westerbork or Museum Village Orvelte. For a fun day out, go to Drouwenerzand amusement park or spot elephants, giraffes and bears at Wildlands in Emmen. In short: a lovely day out for young and old.

That was a wonderful week. We immediately felt at home, beautiful view. The Hunebedcentrum was a real discovery, and the hiking trails from there were beautiful and not difficult (5 to 10 km). We enjoyed it!
