Authentic four persons apartment located in a former castle at a campsite.
Beautiful authentic four-person apartment located on the second floor in a former castle which was built in 1525. The castle is located in the middle of a campsite. Along the entire site of the château flows the river Amblevé. The apartment is located in a wooded area south of Liège, in the Ardennes. Within a radius of 30 kilometers there is much to discover and see in the area. From visiting an attraction or animal pack with the kids, hiking or biking in one of the national parks to ultimate relaxation in a wellness resort. The apartment has free wifi.
This beautifully authentic apartment can accommodate four people. The apartment has a modern spacious living room which of course has a television. There is also a sofa bed suitable for two persons. The kitchen includes a four-burner electric stove, filter coffee maker, large refrigerator and microwave. There is one bedroom with a double bed. The bathroom has a shower, sink and toilet. The apartment has underfloor heating which can be controlled per room. The second floor is accessible by spiral staircase. Because of the access stairs to the platform, these apartments are unfortunately not suitable for wheelchairs.

Aywaille is located in the middle of the Belgian Ardennes. The Ardennes have beautiful natural areas with wooded surroundings, for sports enthusiasts there is absolutely plenty to do! For example, you can go canoeing, abseiling or do a real survival trip. For hiking and cycling enthusiasts, you have also come to the right place: in addition to enjoying these amazing surroundings, a visit to Durbuy, the smallest town in the world, is definitely worthwhile. Go to the town of Spa and see where the sparkling mineral water comes from that is sold all over Europe, unwind in the Thermal Baths or be enchanted by the magical Caves of Han and go on an adventure in the Wildlife Park.

Mosquito nets on the windows would be great because of the mosquitoes! Other guests experienced this too; we saw quite a few mosquitoes swatted on the ceiling. A shower curtain is a good idea, as the whole floor gets wet. Otherwise, a great apartment with comfortable beds, plenty of space, and a complete inventory.
Horren voor de ramen zou heel fijn zijn i.v.m. de muggen! Andere gasten hebben daar ook last van gehad, we zagen heel wat doodgeslagen muggen op het plafond. De douchecabine voorzien van een douchegordijn is een tip, want nu wordt de hele vloer nat. Verder een prima appartement, fijne bedden, meer dan genoeg ruimte, complete inventaris.

Friendly welcome, excellent apartment, beautiful surroundings for walking. Something that was wrongly omitted when booking: the castle is the centerpiece of a campsite with all its associated activities. No nuisance, but it does create a certain ambiance.
Vriendelijke ontvangst, prima appartement, mooie omgeving om te wandelen. Wat zeer ten onrechte niet vermeld wordt bij de boeking: het kasteeltje is het middelpunt van een camping met alle bijbehorende activiteiten. Geen overlast maar wel wel sfeerbepalend.

The campsite has existed since 1978, and the apartments in the nearly 500-year-old castle since 2009. But to be honest, we think 4/10 is a bit harsh compared to your generally positive review. Beste Michel, We hebben gevraagd aan Heerlijke Huisjes om de tekst aan te passen. Sorry dat uw verwachtingen teleurgesteld werden. De camping bestaat al sinds 1978 en de appartementen in het bijna 500 jaar kasteel sinds 2009.
Maar om eerlijk te zijn vinden we 4/10 wel streng ten opzichte van uw - in het algemeen positieve - tekst. Een opmerking aan de receptie was meer dan welkom geweest.

What a beautiful place to stay! Quietly nestled in greenery and by the water, yet just a short drive to the shops and your planned route. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful, fantastic!
Wat een prachtige plek om te verblijven! rustig verscholen in het groen en aan het water maar zo de weg op en bij de winkels en je geplande route. Het personeel is uitermate vriendelijk en behulpzaam, fantastisch!
