Appelscha, Friesland
National Park Drents-Friese Wold guarantees hours of hiking and cycling pleasure through varied landscapes of woods, heathland, shifting sands and grasslands. The sheepfold of Doldersum is nearby and here you can watch how the shepherds daily with the flock Schoonebeker heath sheep into the field. Do you fancy a day of water fun for young and old? Then visit Bosbad Appelscha (a heated outdoor pool in the middle of the forest) or the Canadameer (deep recreational swimming lake in the middle of the National Park Drents-Friese Wold. In Appelscha itself there is also plenty to do: there are markets, restaurants, cafes, Amusement Park Duinen Zathe and an outdoor theater that is definitely worth a visit.

We were missing a high chair, but this has been resolved. The hot tub is wonderful, but unfortunately, it closes after 8 p.m., making it impossible to enjoy in the evening. The surrounding area is beautiful. There's not much to do at the park itself unless you're a golfer.
Kinderstoel miste, maar dit is opgelost. Bubbelbad is heerlijk, gaat helaas wel vanaf 20uur uit waardoor je er in de avond niet van kunt genieten. Omgeving is prachtig. Park zelf is weinig te doen tenzij je van golf houdt.
