Lovely 6 persons Holiday house on the island Ameland

This beautifully situated holiday home is located in the village of Buren on Ameland. The village is located in the middle of the island and is the easternmost of the four villages on Ameland. A kilometer further to the west is Nes, to the east are the Kooiduinen and then the Oerd. Unlike the other villages on Ameland, Buren was originally a ribbon village. Some places of interest in Buren are the statue Ritskemoai, De Kooiplaats and the agricultural beachcombers museum Swartwoude.

This attractive six-person holiday home has a spacious living room with a comfortable sitting area with a flat screen television and a DVD player. The kitchen has a large dining table, dishwasher, microwave, four-burner stove and a Senseo coffee maker. The toilet is located in a separate room. On the upper floor there are three bedrooms, all suitable for two people. Each bedroom has two single box-spring beds. You will also find a bathroom with a neat shower. The garden is south-facing, so you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the sun!

Location and surroundings

Ameland-Buren, Friesland

As soon as you step onto the boat it is already there: that real vacation feeling. You arrive in the village of Nes, where the marina and rescue station are also located. Ameland is a beautiful island with lots of unspoiled nature. Endless walking and cycling tours through the dunes, along the sea or over the beach are the order of the day here. The island has four villages: Nes, Buren, Hollum and Ballum, each with its own charm, amenities, restaurants and terraces. In Buren is the Agricultural and Beachcomber's Museum Swartwoude, where a picture is given about the existence of Amelander farmers in the 19th century. In Hollum you will find the island's lighthouse, a popular attraction with a great view as well!

The house wasn't properly cleaned and lacked ambiance. The lighting was also dull. The stairs were very steep. The upstairs could use some renovation; the wind blows through the closed windows. All in all, quite expensive. We only spoke to the landlord on the phone, but didn't see him.

A very nice and hospitable landlord. Every day I even received a newspaper. Cottage was fully equipped. Spacious living room and kitchen, good beds. Toilet seat I would replace. I found the neighbouring group accommodation a minus point. But as I was mostly cycling, I only experienced noise in the evening.
Excellent
