Child-friendly villa park De Paardekreek, located in Kortgene on the Veerse Meer

There are various accommodations available for rent, with something for everyone. You can choose from a four-person suite with a unique view of Lake Veere or a suite built into the Zeeland dike. The park also offers larger holiday homes for six or eight people.

There is plenty of entertainment for children: a large indoor and outdoor playground offers hours of fun, as do the various swimming pools and the presence of the entertainment team during the Dutch school holidays (except Christmas holidays).

The indoor pool and adjacent water playground are open year-round. During the season, the outdoor pools, including a large, heated pool and a smaller pool for toddlers, are open. Enjoy a snack and a drink from the restaurant terrace, overlooking the toddler pool and enclosed playground.

Fancy a refreshing drink? Ice cream is available at the snack bar – perfect for a quick refresh without having to return to your accommodation.

The park is located directly on the Veerse Meer lake in Zeeland. Explore the lake and its islands with a rented sloop, go windsurfing, stand-up paddleboarding, or relax by the water.

Nature lovers will be in their element: the extensive cycling network in the area guarantees many hours of cycling fun. You can rent (electric) bikes at the reception. The village of Kortgene, with its bakery, several restaurants, and supermarket, is just a fifteen-minute walk away.

Facilities

Food/drink:

The park boasts Grand Café De Paardekreek and Snackbar De Paardekreek. Here you can enjoy lunch, dinner, and tasty snacks, as well as fresh pizzas and crispy fries. They use fresh, local ingredients.

Swimming pool:

There are four swimming pools in total: an indoor water playground, an indoor pool, a large heated outdoor pool, and a children's pool. You can swim laps in the indoor pool in the morning. There's also a wellness area with a whirlpool and sauna. Use of the sauna costs €10 per hour.

Veerse Meer:

You can enjoy swimming in the Veerse Meer lake. You can jump into the water directly from the beach or the diving tower. Please be aware that the water is slippery, and we recommend wearing water shoes. You and your children can have fun catching crabs at the Veerse Meer lake – always a fun activity for all ages!

Playground/animation:

Children can have a blast on the air trampoline or in the park's outdoor playground. For the littlest ones, there's a fully enclosed playground that can be closed off with a gate.

There is also an indoor playground that is open all year round, where children can climb and clamber.

During the Dutch school holidays (with the exception of the Christmas holidays) there is an entertainment team present that organizes fun activities for children up to 12 years old.

In high season there is also a special teenage programme for young people aged 12 to 18.

Supermarket:

The supermarket is open from April to October. Here you can find delicious fresh rolls and croissants. You're also welcome to do your other grocery shopping.

Location and surroundings

Kortgene, Zeeland

Located in the south of North Beveland, Kortgene is the perfect base from which to explore Zeeland. The province known for the cleanest beaches and most hours of sunshine has much to offer. Colijnsplaat is only seven kilometers away and in earlier years there was a Celtic settlement there from which altar stones were later found. In short: history galore. And speaking of which: history and culture can also be found in Zierikzee, Veere, Goes and Middelburg. All very nice to visit, especially in combination with a terrace or a day of shopping. Would you rather spend a day cycling or hiking and discover the natural areas? Then the miles of trails and routes definitely offer a solution.
