Child-friendly villa park De Paardekreek, located in Kortgene on the Veerse Meer

There are various accommodations for rent to suit every taste. You can choose between a four-person suite with a unique view of the Veerse Meer or a suite built into the Zeeland dike. Additionally, larger holiday homes for six or eight people are available on the park.

There is plenty of entertainment for children: a large indoor and outdoor playground offers hours of fun, as do the various swimming pools and the presence of the animation team during the Dutch school holidays (except for the Christmas holidays).

The indoor pool and adjacent water playground are open all year round. During the season, the outdoor pools are open, including a large, heated pool and a smaller pool for the little ones. From the restaurant terrace, you can enjoy a snack and a drink while overlooking the toddler pool and an enclosed playground.

In the mood for a tasty refreshment? Ice cream is available at the snack bar – ideal for freshening up without having to return to your accommodation.

The park is located directly on the Zeeland Veerse Meer. Discover the Veerse Meer and its islands with a rented sloop, go windsurfing or stand-up paddleboarding, or relax by the water.

Nature lovers will be in their element: the extensive network of cycling routes in the area guarantees many hours of cycling fun. You can rent (electric) bicycles at the reception. Within a fifteen-minute walk, you will reach the village of Kortgene, which has a bakery, various restaurants, and a supermarket.

Food/drink:

You will find Grand Café De Paardekreek and Snackbar De Paardekreek at the park. Here you can enjoy lunch, dinner, and tasty snacks, as well as fresh pizzas and crispy fries. The food is prepared using fresh and local products.

Swimming pool:

There are a total of four swimming pools: an indoor water playground, an indoor pool, a large heated outdoor pool, and a children's pool. You can swim laps in the indoor pool in the morning. Additionally, there is a wellness area with a whirlpool and a sauna. The rate for using the sauna is €10 per hour.

Veerse Meer:

You can enjoy a wonderful swim in the Veerse Meer. You can jump straight into the water from the small beach or the diving tower. Please be aware of the slippery banks, and it is also recommended to wear water shoes. You and your children can have fun catching crabs at the Veerse Meer – always a fun activity for young and old!

Playground/entertainment:

The children can have a great time on the air trampoline or in the outdoor playground the park has to offer. For the very little ones, there is a small playground that is fully fenced and can be closed off with a gate.

There is also an indoor playground that is open all year round, where children can climb and clamber.

During the Dutch school holidays (with the exception of the Christmas holidays), an animation team is present that organizes fun activities for children up to 12 years old.

In addition, during the high season there is a special teen program for young people aged 12 to 18.

Supermarket:

The supermarket is open from April through October. You can come here for delicious fresh rolls and croissants. You are also very welcome for other groceries.

Location and surroundings

Located in the south of North Beveland, Kortgene is the perfect base from which to explore Zeeland. The province known for the cleanest beaches and most hours of sunshine has much to offer. Colijnsplaat is only seven kilometers away and in earlier years there was a Celtic settlement there from which altar stones were later found. In short: history galore. And speaking of which: history and culture can also be found in Zierikzee, Veere, Goes and Middelburg. All very nice to visit, especially in combination with a terrace or a day of shopping. Would you rather spend a day cycling or hiking and discover the natural areas? Then the miles of trails and routes definitely offer a solution.
