Start the day with fresh rolls, available through the sandwich service (in high season only), or get a quick errand at the mini market at the park.
For active guests, bike rentals are available, allowing you to explore the surrounding dunes and coastal area. In addition, you can fish in the ponds at the park. In the immediate vicinity you will find several restaurants and beach pavilions, such as Paviljoen De Oase at 100 meters and Eetcafé Zout at 300 meters, where you can enjoy local dishes and a drink. There are also several supermarkets about a 5-minute drive away.
With cities like The Hague and Rotterdam a short distance away, the park is also an excellent base for cultural excursions and city trips. Whether you want to relax on the beach, cycle through the dunes or explore the city, Duynparc De Heeren van 's-Gravensande offers something for everyone.

From cozy Alphen aan den Rijn, take a beautiful bike ride to Leiden, also known as the Key City. The city has the oldest university in the Netherlands and a rich history in beautiful buildings and sights. Also, definitely bike to the seaside town of Katwijk aan Zee and get a breath of fresh air on the beach. There are many other cycling and walking tours in the area, past towns, meadows and beautiful lakes. There is plenty to do in Alphen aan den Rijn, so experience Dutch history at Archeon Museum Park or watch the most fantastic birds at Avifauna Bird Park. Would you rather go on a city trip? Then visit the cozy cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam or The Hague.
